• 1878 - Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett is born in London.
• 1896 - Starts school at Sandhurst.
• 1899 - Inherited his title (Lord).
• 1901 - Returned from fighting in the Boer war.
• 1904 - Marries Beatrice Child-Villiers.
• 1905 - First book, 'The Gods of Pegana' is published.
• 1909 - 'The Glittering Gate' a play Dunsany wrote per W.B Yeats request is successful on Broadway.
• 1957 - Dunsany dies and is buried in Shoreham.
• 1970 - Dunsany's wife Beatrice dies.
